The following guidelines should be used to calculate
GCLPA Top Ten Points:

• You (the exhibitor) will be responsible for calculating and keeping your points at each show.
• At the end of the year, you will need to pick the ONE LAMB that has the highest total points for FOUR shows. ONLY POINTS FROM YOUR BEST LAMB WILL BE COUNTED.
• Total your SHOWMANSHIP points for FOUR shows.
• Add the points for the best lamb to the showmanship points. This equals your total points for the year.
• You will need to mail your point totals to Steve Morgan by November 1st.

 

POINTS CALCULATION EXAMPLE:

2010 QUALIFIED POINT SHOWS: (Count Only 4 Best Shows)

• Atlantic Coast Classic – Sylvania, GA
• West Georgia Lamb Classic – Carrollton, GA
• Farm Credit – Perry, GA
• GCLPA Futurity (points are doubled at this show) – Perry, GA
• Heard County Lamb Show – Franklin, GA
• UGA Block and Bridle – Athens, GA
• Bull Dog Extravaganza (in Athens on Sunday after B&B)
• Moultrie – Moultrie, GA
• South East Empire – Lawrenceville, GA
• Georgia National Fair (State Show) – Perry, GA

Shows must meet the following criteria in order to be considered a “Point Show”:

• Open to the entire state
• Show superintendent must agree to send an official copy of the show program to GCLPA

The exhibitor point tally sheet should be mailed to the Secretary/Treasurer (Steve Morgan, @
P. O. Box 346, Hamilton, GA 31811). The GCLPA officers and/or directors will review the exhibitors Talley Sheet for correctness after submittal. Corrections will be made to mathematical errors. If you need a point sheet click here or call Steve Morgan @ 706 302-8715.

**Important Note**   Please make a copy of your Point Tally Sheet for your records prior to  
mailing them to the Secretary/Treasurer.
